Privacy Policy

Last updated 2 October 2026

This policy explains what information we collect when you use this website or book with us, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. In short: we collect what we need to arrange your trip, we don't sell it, and we only share it with the operator running your activity.

1. Who we are

Find Key West is a booking service based in Key West, Florida. We arrange excursions, rentals and experiences with independent local operators. For the purposes of applicable data protection law, we are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

You can reach us about anything in this policy by emailing book@findkeywest.com or calling (305) 767-3460.

2. What information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit a booking enquiry or contact form, we collect your name, email address, telephone number, preferred dates, group size, the activity you're interested in, and anything else you choose to write in the message field.

Information collected automatically. When you visit this website, our hosting provider records standard technical information — such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed and the site you arrived from. This is used to keep the site secure and to understand how it's used.

We do not collect payment card details on this website. Where a payment is required, it is taken through a secure third-party payment link, and the card details are handled by that payment provider rather than by us.

3. How we use your information

To respond to your enquiry and check availability with operators.

To confirm, administer, change or cancel a booking you have made.

To contact you about your trip — for example if the weather changes or a meeting time moves.

To meet our legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations.

To improve this website and understand which pages are useful.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.

4. Who we share it with

The operator fulfilling your booking. To arrange your activity, we must pass the relevant details — typically names, group size, contact number and any requirements you've told us about — to the captain, guide or rental company providing it.

Service providers who help us run the business. This may include our website host, our email provider, our booking form provider and our payment provider. These providers act on our instructions and are only given what they need to perform their function.

Where required by law. We may disclose information if we are legally obliged to, or where it's necessary to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.

5. Legal bases for processing

Where the law requires us to identify a legal basis for processing, we rely on: performance of a contract (handling a booking you've made or are making); our legitimate interests (responding to enquiries and running our business); your consent (where you've opted in to something specific); and compliance with legal obligations.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time by contacting us.

6. How long we keep it

We keep booking and enquiry records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet our accounting and legal obligations — generally up to seven years after the booking.

Website analytics information is retained in aggregate for a shorter period. Where you ask us to delete your information and we have no legal reason to keep it, we will do so.

7. Cookies and tracking

This website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Some are essential for the site to work — for example, remembering your consent choices and protecting our forms against spam and automated abuse.

We also use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are visited. This information is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the site, such as enquiry forms, from working properly.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you; ask us to correct information that is inaccurate; ask us to delete information we no longer need; object to or restrict certain processing; and request that information you gave us be provided in a portable format.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a US state with a consumer privacy law such as California, you may have additional rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at book@findkeywest.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information — this website is served over an encrypted connection, and access to booking information is limited to the people who need it to do their jobs.

No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you and any relevant authority as required by law.

10. Children

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 other than as part of a booking made by an adult. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected here, and continued use of the website after an update means you accept the revised policy.
